Here’s the opportunity to create an unusual In the Hoop bag that
features geometric designs. Make this bag unique by adding your
choice of colors. It can be Southwestern, Spring, Girly- girly or any
combination you like. After you purchase the design, spend some time
playing with color choices. The stitchout takes time so you must select
your color choices and cut out your fabrics and stabilizer before coming
to class. This is one of those projects that look a lot more difficult than it
is. Join us for an afternoon of fun, comradery and some skill building
too.
Note: Because of time we will make the smaller version of the bag.

Supply List for Tapestry Zipper Bag

1. In OESD, purchase 12869-03 Tapestry Zipper Bag 3 (Smaller Size
8.27” x 5.38”)
a. Load this design onto a USB stick and bring to class
b. Read through the instructions (I will provide a print out of the
instructions)
c. Using the summary on Pg 6, cut fabric and stabilizer for the
small sized purse. If you do not have fusible woven, bring
Ultra Clean and Tear and 505 temporary adhesive spray.

2. Non-metal zipper at least 10” long
3. At least 9 threads that would work well together for design details
4. 2-bobbins wound with bobbin thread
5. A turning tool (I use the OESD Expert Point and Press Tool)
6. OESD Expert Embroidery Tape Tear Away (I put this in a tape
dispenser)
7. Press Cloth
8. Microtext 75 or 80 needle
9. Hand sewing needle
10. Clips
11. Small sharp scissors, tweezers, and larger scissors
