ARTlink

ARTlink is a free Embroidery Software program that is made by Bernina but can be used for all the major machine brands. It allows you to do basic editing and most importantly print out templates. Here are some of its popular features.

1. Open embroidery designs and change them from one format to another (ie PES to EXP)

2. Send designs directly from your computer to your embroidery machine

3. Basic editing such as rotate, resize, skew and others

4. Stitch Player which allows you to see how a design will stitch out

5. Print out design worksheets with color charts, thread usage lengths and color films

6. Show stitch points

Since so many of the icons are alike, if you own any type of embroidery software this class is a great intro to becoming familiar with your more detailed program.

Prior to class Carol will e-mail you instructions on how to upload ARTlink to your PC. (Sorry, ARTlink is not compatible with MACs.

USB Cable that came with your embroidery module that connect sewing machine to laptop. (If you can’t find it, you can use regular printer cable)

USB drive with several designs on it. (It doesn’t have to be anything fancy)
